According to the website of the Securities Times, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment issued the implementation plan for carbon peak in the non-ferrous metal industry. The plan points out that we should increase the proportion of renewable energy use, encourage enterprises to orderly transfer to renewable energy rich areas on the premise that the resources and environment can be carried, and gradually reduce the electrolytic aluminum capacity using thermal power. By taking advantage of the characteristics of large power consumption and stable load in the production of non-ferrous metals such as electrolytic aluminum and industrial silicon, we will support enterprises to participate in the construction of micro grid focusing on the consumption of renewable energy, and support qualified parks to carry out special power supply for new energy power to improve the consumption capacity. Encourage and guide nonferrous metal enterprises to actively absorb renewable energy through green power trading, purchase of green power certificates, etc., to ensure that the weight of renewable energy electricity consumption responsibility is higher than the minimum weight of the region. We will strive to use more than 25% and 30% of renewable energy in electrolytic aluminum by 2025 and 2030 respectively.
